DoubleVerify Unveils DV Neura to Automate Ad Buying With AI

A new AI-powered engine from DoubleVerify aims to automate media buying and campaign optimization. DV Neura connects ad-verification data directly to campaign execution. Early adopters are already testing the technology.

DoubleVerify has introduced DV Neura, an AI-driven cognitive engine designed to automate key tasks in digital advertising, including media buying and campaign optimization. The company says DV Neura enables AI agents to act on ad-verification data, closing the gap between campaign insights and execution. This technology is now powering features that allow third-party AI agents to communicate directly with DoubleVerify's platform.

Butler/Till, an independent marketing and media agency, is among the first to test the new agentic capabilities. According to DoubleVerify CEO Mark Zagorski, DV Neura functions as a central “brain” that integrates multiple AI-powered tools across the company’s ecosystem. The engine is structured around four main principles: media intelligence, adaptive performance, open connectivity, and agentic execution. Adaptive performance focuses on optimizing bids and measuring campaigns, while open connectivity allows external AI systems to access DoubleVerify’s data. Agentic execution links insights to real-time actions, reducing the need for traditional dashboards.

Zagorski explained that advertisers and agencies can now interact with DoubleVerify through natural language queries, shifting from a dashboard-based approach to a more conversational, on-demand model. Instead of searching for campaign updates, users can ask a chatbot for information such as brand suitability, and receive immediate responses. This shift is intended to make campaign management more proactive and less reliant on manual data retrieval.

Addressing ongoing challenges with low-quality AI-generated content-referred to as “AI slop”-DV Neura’s media intelligence capabilities include advanced fraud detection and content classification. The system is designed to filter out mass-produced, low-value generative AI content and block fraudulent ad impressions, which Zagorski said have become increasingly prevalent and disruptive in digital advertising channels.

DV Neura Insight Agent is currently accessible via the Model Content Protocol (MCP) and integrates with Anthropic Claude. The DV Neura Activation Agent, which will autonomously implement approved campaign changes within advertiser-defined parameters, is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2026. DoubleVerify also plans to expand MCP integrations to include Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot in the near future, with the goal of making the protocol available across all major AI platforms.

As agencies and brands explore new AI-powered solutions for campaign management, some are also experimenting with social-first strategies, as seen when Dentsu relaunched its 360i brand to connect culture, creators, and commerce for US clients. More details on that initiative can be found in this recent coverage.
