According to a post on the Claude subreddit, specific Google search queries-known as Google dorks-were able to surface these shared chats. Additionally, even if search results are removed, anyone with a direct link can still access the exposed chats.
Claude’s Artifacts feature, which lets users create interactive workspaces for apps and tools, is also affected. At the time of reporting, Google searches can still reveal these shared Artifacts. This situation is reminiscent of a similar incident involving ChatGPT last year, when nearly 100,000 conversations were indexed by Google and subsequently scraped by researchers.
