Google is piloting a new Insights feature for Search Profiles, giving creators and publishers analytics on how users engage with their content across Google Search.

Google has begun testing an Insights section for its recently launched Search Profiles, offering creators and publishers a window into how audiences interact with their content on Google Search. The new feature, currently in beta, provides data on user engagement, including the top five posts ranked by clicks, total clicks, impressions, and the countries generating the most traffic.

Search Profiles, introduced late last week, serve as a dedicated, shareable space for creators and publishers to showcase their content and platforms directly within Google. According to Google, these profiles are designed to help audiences find accurate, up-to-date information about sources in Search results.

Jane Manchun Wong, a well-known tech researcher, shared screenshots of the beta Insights dashboard on X, revealing the types of analytics available to profile owners. The dashboard highlights metrics such as the number of visits (clicks) from Google, how often content appears (impressions), and geographic breakdowns of user engagement.

While the Insights feature is not yet widely accessible, Google has confirmed it is in testing. Those interested can view live Search Profiles, such as profile.google.com/@rustybrick, to see how the platform is evolving. For further discussion, users are engaging on X, where the feature was first spotted.

Google, founded in 1998, remains the dominant search engine globally, processing over 8.5 billion searches per day as of 2026. The company continues to expand its suite of tools for creators and publishers, with Search Profiles representing its latest effort to centralize and surface authoritative content within its ecosystem.
