Gold Key Media Reshapes Leadership After Deputy Managing Director Retires

Leadership changes are underway as Gold Key Media announces two major promotions. The moves follow the early retirement of deputy managing director Duncan MacGillivray. Key roles shift to Sally Ingram and Clare Scott.

Gold Key Media is making significant changes to its leadership team, a move that will impact its operations and strategic direction for content distribution professionals. The company confirmed that deputy managing director Duncan MacGillivray will retire at the end of July after 25 years with the business, opening the door for internal promotions and a new management structure.

MacGillivray, who joined Gold Key Media in 2001 after serving as circulation manager at the Financial Times, played a central role in the company's growth into a global leader in specialized media distribution. Managing director Chris Horn credited MacGillivray with helping to build the company's reputation and drive its expansion over the past two decades.

With MacGillivray's departure, Gold Key Media has promoted Sally Ingram to deputy managing director. Ingram, previously commercial partnerships director, will continue to oversee the Venue and Digital division while taking on broader strategic and operational responsibilities. She joined the company in 2009 as an account manager and has developed a wide network and deep industry knowledge during her 17 years at Gold Key Media.

Clare Scott, formerly head of publisher & brand services, has been promoted to director of publisher & brand services. Scott will continue to lead the Publishing Division and assume additional responsibilities within the business. She first joined Gold Key Media in 2007, returned in 2014 after a family break, and has since contributed to the company's publishing operations.

Horn said both Ingram and Scott have earned respect and credibility within the company and the wider industry, noting their ability to adapt and support Gold Key Media's ongoing growth amid changes in the media landscape.
