A new paid API now delivers real-time Truth Social posts from Donald Trump and top accounts. The launch follows calls for regulatory scrutiny from key lawmakers. Media and data firms are watching closely.

Media and publishing professionals tracking political content and social engagement now have a new data source to consider. Trump Media and Technology Group has introduced a paid data service, offering clients faster access to posts from President Donald Trump and other leading accounts on Truth Social. The new product, called “Truth API,” launched on August 1 and is positioned as a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most influential posts, according to interim CEO Kevin McGurn.

The company says the Truth API is designed for firms that need immediate access to market-moving or high-impact content from Truth Social. By providing a real-time stream, the service aims to support newsrooms, analytics providers, and other organizations that rely on timely social data for editorial, research, or business decisions. The move signals an effort by Trump Media and Technology Group to monetize its platform’s data and expand its reach among professional users.

The launch has already drawn attention from lawmakers. Democratic Senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren have urged the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate whether the new service complies with legal requirements. Their concerns center on potential regulatory issues related to data licensing and distribution. The company has not publicly responded to these calls for scrutiny.

Interest in new data products and digital audience targeting remains high across the media sector. For example, recent campaigns have leveraged digital out-of-home ads and real-time data to reach sports fans, as seen when Sweetgreen targeted World Cup viewers through Atmosphere TV in key cities. That campaign reported a significant lift in store visits, highlighting the value of timely, targeted content distribution.
