Immersive drone shows are coming to U.S. cities as Stellantis partners with Nova Sky Stories. The collaboration brings branded aerial experiences to live audiences and digital fans. Automotive marketing meets large-scale drone art.
Automotive marketing is taking to the skies as Stellantis teams up with Nova Sky Stories to deliver immersive drone storytelling events across the United States. The partnership positions Stellantis’ U.S. brands-Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram-as the exclusive automotive sponsors of DroneArt Show, a live open-air drone spectacle co-produced by Nova Sky Stories and Fever. These brands will debut original branded Sky Stories before select performances, leveraging drone technology as a new medium for audience engagement and brand storytelling.
The collaboration extends beyond the aerial displays. At select DroneArt Show locations, attendees will encounter branded vehicle experiences, digital fan engagement opportunities, and a ticket bank for local dealer distribution. Stellantis expects DroneArt Show productions to reach audiences through hundreds of shows nationwide by the end of 2026, aiming to connect with both live and digital audiences in new ways.
Nova Sky Stories has built its reputation on using drone technology to create large-scale, emotionally resonant public experiences. Stellantis Global CMO Olivier Francois described drone art as a bold new creative canvas after witnessing Nova Sky Stories’ drones at the 2025 Cannes Lions Festival. Initially, Francois sought a collaboration for the “Grace for the World” concert at the Vatican, which drew over 130,000 attendees and an estimated global audience of more than 2 billion. However, the potential for automotive marketing soon became clear, leading to the current partnership.
Francois believes drone art represents the next frontier in storytelling, offering a medium where the night sky becomes a blank canvas for creative expression. He noted that audiences are captivated by these shows in ways that traditional screens cannot match, often recording and sharing the experience, which amplifies its reach. This viral potential underpins the Stellantis and Nova Sky Stories partnership, as both companies look to redefine how brands connect with audiences.
DroneArt Show has previously worked with other marketing partners, including Audible for the DroneArt Show: Harry Potter, which featured music, a live violinist, interactive LED wristbands, and an Audible listening tent. For Stellantis, the partnership enables branded moments such as a Dodge Ram flying across the sky with an American flag, creating immersive, memorable experiences for attendees. Nova Sky Stories co-founder and CEO Kimbal Musk emphasized that the impact of these sky stories is best understood in person, as audiences arrive early and engage deeply with the live content and their communities.
The Stellantis Sky Story will appear at DroneArt Shows in Houston, Sacramento, Seattle, and Tampa in August, with additional performances in St. Louis and San Francisco in September. More locations are expected to be announced later in the year.
