Sponsorship agreements for the New York Knicks jumped 28% this season. Major brands signed seven-figure deals. The team's valuation now approaches $10 billion, driven by championship momentum.
Media and publishing professionals tracking sports monetization will note a significant spike in the New York Knicks' sponsorship activity for the 2025-26 NBA season. According to SponsorUnited, the Knicks recorded the largest year-over-year increase in sponsorship deals among NBA teams, with a 28.3% rise that brought their total to 59 active agreements. Many of these partnerships are valued in the seven-figure range, reflecting the team's growing commercial appeal.
Key sponsors now include JPMorgan Chase, Nike, Lexus, PepsiCo, and Anheuser-Busch, with Experience Abu Dhabi holding the prominent jersey patch position. The surge in sponsorships coincided with the Knicks' emergence as a top Eastern Conference contender and their recent championship status, factors that have drawn increased advertiser interest.
Elsewhere in the league, the San Antonio Spurs also expanded their sponsorship portfolio by 14% to 82 deals, a growth partly linked to Victor Wembanyama's rise to stardom. Across the NBA, total team sponsorship revenue climbed 11% in the 2025-26 season to reach $1.8 billion, with the average deal valued at $731,000.
Forbes now values the New York Knicks at $9.75 billion, up from $7.5 billion the previous year and representing a 95% increase since 2020. The Knicks are currently the third most valuable NBA franchise, trailing only the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. Much of this valuation is attributed to the team's presence in the largest U.S. media market and the associated local media rights revenue.
