AAMP 2.3 aims to streamline agentic advertising for enterprises. The update brings enhanced privacy, improved accuracy, and easier integration with major ad platforms. Compatibility now extends to AWS and Databricks.

Media and publishing professionals focused on programmatic advertising and AI-driven workflows have a new framework to consider as IAB Tech Lab introduces AAMP 2.3. The updated Agentic Advertising Management Protocols are designed to help enterprises deploy agentic advertising systems more efficiently, with a focus on privacy, accuracy, and seamless integration into existing technology stacks.

IAB Tech Lab stated that AAMP 2.3 brings new capabilities to make agentic deployments more practical for real-world use. The framework has been tested to ensure that all advertising decisions are made with precision, supporting compliance with privacy regulations. Notably, the update is compatible with Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Web Services’ managed cloud service, and Databricks, a leading cloud-based analytics and AI platform. This compatibility allows organizations to integrate agentic advertising into their current infrastructure without major overhauls.

The new version also supports expanded buying across platforms such as Meta and offers integration with Google Ad Manager reporting. Open-source contributions from HyperMindz and Mixpeek have been incorporated, enabling more autonomous programmatic transitions. The IAB Diligence Platform and SafeGuard Privacy are now embedded directly into the Buyer Agent, allowing privacy controls to be built into agent workflows from the start.

Anthony Katsur, CEO of IAB Tech Lab, explained that the industry has already demonstrated the potential of AI agents in automating planning, buying, selling, and optimization. The goal for AAMP 2.3 is to provide a common framework that enables these capabilities to function reliably within the technology environments companies use today. The update also introduces improved pricing guardrails and enhances the integrity of transaction data, giving both buyers and sellers greater confidence as agentic advertising moves into production. Inventory availability is now based on actual, not derived, numbers, which is intended to increase transparency and trust in programmatic transactions.

As agentic advertising becomes more central to digital media operations, publishers and advertisers are seeking ways to measure and optimize their presence in AI-powered environments. This trend is reflected in recent industry coverage, such as a report on how media companies are leveraging AI visibility to attract advertisers, which can be found in this analysis of AI visibility as a new metric for publishers.
