A major funding round has propelled AppsFlyer to a $2.7 billion valuation. The analytics firm secured over $1 billion from investors including Google and Meta. The company is now preparing for a potential public offering.
AppsFlyer, a San Francisco-based data analytics platform, has secured more than $1 billion in a Series E funding round, pushing its post-money valuation to $2.7 billion, according to sources cited by Axios. The company specializes in marketing analytics, serving as an independent arbiter to determine which digital ads actually drive mobile app downloads and in-app purchases. Its platform helps businesses measure return on ad spend, while emphasizing user privacy and ad fraud prevention.
CEO and co-founder Oren Kaniel confirmed to Axios that Google, Meta, Moloco, and Unity each acquired minority stakes in AppsFlyer as part of the latest round. Kaniel did not disclose specific deal terms but described the new investors as sharing the company's commitment to independent, unbiased measurement in digital advertising. He noted that as AI increasingly shapes ad buying and optimization, the integrity of attribution data becomes even more critical.
Prior to this round, AppsFlyer's last known fundraising was in 2020. With the new investment, the company has now raised a total of $1.3 billion since its founding in 2011, according to Crunchbase. Previous backers include General Atlantic, Salesforce Ventures, Pitango VC, Goldman Sachs, and DTCP. Salesforce Ventures is also an investor in Crunchbase, though it does not influence editorial coverage.
Kaniel indicated that the fresh capital is intended to support AppsFlyer's path toward a public listing, calling the financing "a step on that path." The move comes as global funding for sales, marketing, and CRM startups has reached approximately $4.1 billion so far in 2026, per Crunchbase data. This keeps the sector on pace with the previous three years, though still well below the $20 billion highs seen during the industry's boom period. Notably, many recent investments have targeted AI-driven startups offering automation and agentic tools for sales, marketing, and customer experience management.
As the digital advertising landscape evolves, the role of independent measurement platforms like AppsFlyer is drawing increased attention. This trend echoes broader shifts in the sector, such as the introduction of paid AI-powered information agents in search platforms, as detailed in this recent report on automated information tracking for subscribers.
Founded in 2011, AppsFlyer has grown into a leading provider of marketing analytics solutions for mobile app developers and advertisers. The company reports serving thousands of clients worldwide, with its platform used to analyze billions of mobile interactions each month. AppsFlyer employs a global team and has expanded its presence across North America, Europe, and Asia, positioning itself as a key player in the evolving digital advertising ecosystem.
