Amazon Expands Localized Video Ads Across the Americas

Location-based video ads now reach new markets. Advertisers can target by store, offer, and region. Amazon Business sees strong growth. Customization options expand for U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Media and publishing professionals focused on ad-tech and monetization will see new opportunities as Amazon expands its location-based video ad capabilities to three additional markets in the Americas. The update allows advertisers to tailor video ads by store location, local offers, and clickthrough URLs, targeting viewers based on state, province, or postal code in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

This move builds on Amazon's initial U.S. launch of the format in October 2025. The company said the expansion is designed to help cross-border advertisers reduce the cost and complexity of producing region-specific TV ads. Instead of running generic national campaigns, brands can now deliver localized creative-such as a Toronto viewer seeing a Canadian storefront, while someone in Sao Paulo receives a local address-through a single ad buy.

Amazon confirmed that nearly all Managed Service and Self-Service advertisers can access these new features, except those who opt to block demographic signals in the ads console. This restriction applies only to campaigns using first-party Amazon Studios (1PAS) video creative, which are hosted and delivered by Amazon's ad servers and shown on Prime Video and other Amazon Studios content.

The company also reported that more than 1.8 million new organizations have joined Amazon Business this year, with the sector growing nearly 30% globally. Categories such as repair tools, fresh groceries, and office furniture have seen notable expansion. Amazon is scheduled to announce its second-quarter 2026 earnings on July 30, with analysts expecting a profit of $1.82 per share and revenue between $194 billion and $199 billion, highlighting AI-related revenue and infrastructure spending as key areas of focus.

Amazon, founded in 1994, has grown into one of the world's largest technology companies, with over 1.5 million employees globally as of 2026. Its advertising business has become a significant revenue driver, contributing more than $40 billion annually. Amazon Business, launched in 2015, now serves millions of organizations worldwide, reflecting the company's ongoing expansion into B2B commerce and digital advertising solutions.
