The world's 50 highest-earning creators saw their combined income rise 20% in 2026, surpassing $1 billion. MrBeast led the list with $300 million, as creator-led media companies expand their reach and revenue.

The business of content creation reached a new milestone in 2026, as the 50 highest-paid bloggers and influencers collectively earned more than $1 billion, according to Forbes Top Creators. This marks a 20% increase from the previous year, highlighting the growing financial power of creator-led media companies.

These top creators are no longer just individual personalities. Many now operate full-scale media businesses with established brands, subscription models, live events, and both branded and original product sales. Their operations often include teams of over 100 employees and partnerships with major global companies, allowing them to compete directly with traditional entertainment studios.

MrBeast led the 2026 ranking, generating approximately $300 million in revenue and amassing an audience of 873 million followers across platforms. His business, Beast Industries, spans food products, analytics services, and educational projects. In 2024, MrBeast reportedly earned over $400 million from YouTube alone. His ventures include the Feastables chocolate brand, snack company Lunchly, and a dedicated video production studio. In March 2026, the US Senate took interest in his activities.

Dhar Mann ranked second with $65 million, followed by Steven Bartlett at $52 million. Other top earners included Markiplier, Rhett & Link, Charli D'Amelio, Druski, IShowSpeed, Mark Rober, and Codie Sanchez.

Forbes reported that the combined income of the top 50 creators rose from $853 million in the previous year and is now 80% higher than the first Top Creators list published in 2022. The creator economy, once seen as an alternative to traditional show business, is now a core part of the entertainment industry.

Creator-led projects are also making an impact in film and streaming. The movie Backrooms, based on Kane Parsons' web series, grossed over $260 million worldwide on a $10 million budget. Obsession, a film by comedy sketch creator Karri Barker, was produced for $750,000 and earned more than $290 million. Mark Rober and Ms. Rachel launched educational projects on Netflix, MrBeast released a second season of Beast Games on Amazon Prime, and Dhar Mann signed a deal with Fox Entertainment for 40 vertical drama series. Jeffrey Katzenberg, co-founder of DreamWorks and former Walt Disney Studios head, described Dhar Mann's project as a "21st-century film studio," citing its blend of classic storytelling and digital platform reach.
